Software Assurance update: Employee Purchase Program is now retired

imageThe Employee Purchase Program (EPP) was first introduced as a Software Assurance (SA) benefit in 2003, and its customer use has gradually declined. Microsoft has conducted several customer research studies and analyst conversations that showed that EPP was one of the lowest leveraged Software Assurance benefits. Accordingly, on November 15 2010, Microsoft have retired the EPP benefit from the SA portfolio.

What is next?

Starting today, November 15 2010, all current SA customers would see EPP under the ‘Retired Benefits’ section in VLSC and new SA customers would not be entitled to EPP.
